Mail Theft Protection Ideas
One of the concerns brought up at the annual CLA meeting was regarding an increase in mail theft in the area.
While we would love to believe this doesn’t happen in our neighborhood, we are all hearing the increasing trend on our news feeds and, unfortunately, some of us have even experienced this personally.
Weed Harvester Update
Caribou Lake friends and neighbors, thank you for your continued patience as we work to get the harvester operational. While it is still not fixed, Cory Garden now has the Manufacturer, Dealer/Servicer, and a Designer talking. It has been an uphill battle to get to this point and many frustrating phone calls. Cory has been sure to let them all know of our frustration as a membership, dissatisfaction with this machine’s reliability, and sheer disappointment with their customer service. Continue reading
4th of July – Annual Boat Parade
Hope everyone is ready for a 4th of July celebration weekend on beautiful Caribou Lake. As you prepare your weekend plans, don’t forget about our annual boat parade hosted by Rosie and Les Adolphson. Get your boats ready and meet in the bay by Shady Lane (north of Kehtel Road) to line up at 1:00pm. Last year’s winner gets to award this year’s trophy. We can’t wait to see your creative and festive boats come to life!

Caribou Lake Loon Family
We have a new baby on the lake! This family was spotted off the end of Birch Point Road in the bay. The pictures are quite zoomed in to give the family space. Please be mindful of their space as we watch this little one grow.

June 12, 2021 – Upcoming Caribou Lake Association Meeting
The next Caribou Lake Association meeting will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00am at the Sheet Metal Workers Labor Building. For those that have been in the area a while, this is the old Caribou Lake School building. The address is 6279 Industrial Road, Saginaw, MN 55779 and the building is located on the corner of Industrial Road and Munger Shaw Road.
Loon Nesting Season
As we quickly enter loon nesting season, we have placed our 3 loon nesting platforms from last year’s Eagle Scout project with the Proctor BSA troop #84. We have tried 3 locations close to shore but away from land predators. As you kayak and boat in the areas around our lake you will see the platforms by the Work Farm shoreline, Birch Point creek inlet, and at the little creek at the end of Sunny Lane. Please give the platforms and loons space to help preserve this beautiful bird.
