Eagle Scout Project – Loon Nesting Platforms

Starting June 30, 2020, CLA began meeting with Proctor BSA troop #84 regarding the building and placement of loon nesting platforms on Caribou Lake. The Eagle Scout Project was completed around the first of September and we are excited to share the photos and information with our Caribou Lake enthusiasts.

The following photos show scouts from troop #84 exploring the best place for the loon nesting platforms. These are along the shore of the work farm, which is part of NERCC.

The troop member below is Nathan Covington and his dad Tom Covington as they worked on the loon nesting platform build site at the intersection of Caribou Lake and Industrial Roads.

Great job BSA troop #84 – a welcome addition to the Caribou Lake ecosystem!
