I know that my Amazon ordering has increased during these uncertain pandemic times and it is a good time to remind everyone to use <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">smile.amazon.com<\/a> to support our lake.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For those that have linked their Amazon account to Caribou Lake Association Inc. through the <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> program, Amazon donates <strong>0.5%<\/strong> of eligible purchases to our lake. <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> is the same Amazon \u2013 same products, same services, and same prices with an added benefit of <strong>GIVING BACK<\/strong> to our lake for your shopping efforts.<\/p>\n<p>I find it is difficult to remember to use <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">smile.amazon.com<\/a> versus my standard Amazon browser, so I did some research to make this easier. The following list will automatically redirect you or link to the corresponding <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">smile.amazon.com<\/a> page (versus standard amazon.com) so you will not need to remember to go to <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">smile.amazon.com<\/a> first.<\/p>\n<p>1) For PC users running Google Chrome, there is an application called <a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/amazon-smile-redirect\/ejglonclnjogoiegggjjcpapffbnangg?hl=en\">Amazon Smile Redirect<\/a> that can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store with over 10,000 users and greater than 4.5 stars to redirect to the corresponding <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p>2) For Mac users running Safari, there is an application called <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/smileallday\/id1180442868?mt=12\">SmileAllDay<\/a> in the App Store with over 4.0 stars to intelligently redirect to <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> as appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>3) For Amazon mobile application users, <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> is NOT automatically connected to your charity; however, there is an easy setting change that defaults to automatically connect your charity when you checkout. Below are the setting\u00a0change steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open Amazon mobile application<\/li>\n<li>Find the three lines on the bottom right to expand options<\/li>\n<li>Click settings<\/li>\n<li>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a>\u00a0(you will see it is not defaulted to automatically connect to your smile account)<\/li>\n<li>Change the slide button to yes to link your purchases to your <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> charity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cariboulake.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Smile-Mobile-Inst.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1009 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cariboulake.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Smile-Mobile-Inst-300x159.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"291\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4) Note, I believe there is also a Firefox <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> redirect option but could not find anything that seemed current and don\u2019t have the ability to test without a loaded device and browser combination. Please comment if you find anything for this or another browser.<\/p>\n<p>As of August 2020, Caribou Lake Association has received <strong>$66.38 from 10 generous <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\">AmazonSmile<\/a> patrons<\/strong> \u2013 thank you for your support!
