For more than 40 years, Caribou Lake residents Dick Herman, Bill and Lois Johnson, and Barb Misgen have been recording the dates that our lake has frozen and thawed. There are a few gaps in the data, but a pretty clear picture emerges showing patterns that repeat year after year.
